With the enormous amount of recalls in the children's market, I felt it was my place as a Mom and Entrepreneur to educate you on the concerns associated with children's jewelry. 

Each and every Fairy Tale Jewel is handmade right here in the good 'ol U.S.A.  They have been since day one and will always be.  Every jewel is made with genuine sterling silver components, beads and charms.  The only exception are the split rings, which are base metal components coated with sterling silver.  We use these because genuine sterling silver split rings are soft and pull apart really easy, causing the charms to fall off.  Using a base metal gives the split ring the strength needed to keep the charm attached to the bracelet, preventing loss.

All of our crystals are authentic SwarovskiTM crystals.  Yes, SwarovskiTM crystals DO contain lead; however it is unaccessible lead.  This means the lead is encased within the molecular structure of the crystal and cannot be accessed unless the crystal in grinded into a powder-like form and ingested.  Although the lead is unaccessible, there are still regulations regarding the use of these crystals.  Jewelry designed for children ages six and younger cannot contain more than 600 ppm of lead.  This means that only 1g of SwarovskiTM crytsals can be used in designs for children under the age of six.
